Engineered wood

Solid wood
Traditional solid timber boards that can be sanded and refinished for decades. A proper heirloom floor for living rooms, halls and stairs.
Laminate
Hard-wearing, scratch-resistant and budget-friendly, with wood and stone effects that are hard to tell from the real thing. Ideal for busy family homes.
LVT & SPC
Luxury vinyl tile and rigid SPC: warm, quiet and fully waterproof. Perfect for kitchens, bathrooms and open-plan spaces that take a lot of traffic.
Vinyl

An independent flooring shop, run by fitters
Ideeal Flooring is an independent, family-run flooring business based in Derby. We took on the old Formula 1 restoration unit on Shaftesbury Street South and turned it into a proper flooring showroom, where you can see and feel dozens of floors under real light before you choose.
Because Marius and the team both sell and fit, the advice you get is the advice a fitter would give. We check damp and moisture levels, prepare and level the subfloor, and only then lay your floor, so it looks right and stays right for years.
We handle everything from a single hallway to a full new build, and our customers keep telling us the same thing: reliable, tidy, and nothing is too much trouble.
